  My wife and I came in for dinner on boxing day December 26th 2017 and the service was really slow but they explained that due to being shortstaffed coupled with an abnormally large amount of customers that day was the reason. Our food came out quite late as well and they never brought any of our dipping sauces out which is the whole point of coming to Swiss Chalet in my opinion. It's like going to The Keg Steakhouse and they forget to bring out your steak with the rest of your meal. I had to go to the kitchen and ask for dipping sauces and brought it to the table myself. But overall we were fine with this as these things happen from time to time but overall this restaurant has performed well in the past. This evening we returned for dinner with my parents and our 8 year old son and were again shocked and unimpressed at how poor the service was. The restaurant was very slow this evening with only four tables seated in a restaurant that holds 60 people. We arrived at 7 p.m. and were immediately seated and our orders were taken. It was nearly 8:15 pm by the time our meals came out of the kitchen. My son's hamburgers were charred black and cold, my wife's chicken was undercooked and all of our french fries and dipping sauces were lukewarm at best. The waitress never returned to ask us how our meals were. Never before have I seen such slow service and poor food quality from Swiss Chalet. This restaurant chain has been a staple in my family for many many years and it is truly disappointing to see how poorly this particular restaurant is run. I highly recommend the one in Woodstock as they have been flawless every time I've eaten there. Sadly, I think this is the last time I will be eating at the Tillsonburg Swiss Chalet.

  Arrived at a 'slow time' in the evening. Pretty sure they were under staffed.. the waitresses seemed to be stunned when things suddenly got busy.. felt bad for them.. they looked unprepared..food was OK (wife said her dish was cold - mine was fine) but the wait staff was too busy to give proper attention to the customer..

  The Angus burger tasted like a regular original burger and seemed to be much smaller than that I have had at other locations. The staff probably require additional training to ensure that they don't add the condiments that have fallen off to the counter outside the paper on which the burger is placed.

  Terrrrrible service. Cold takeout. Staff ignored me for 15 mins. More staff HIGHLY recommended...preferably with manners.
